It's #5's birthday this week and she is:

A pillow
with 30 daisy squares
for each of her 30 years.
to match her kitchen/dining/sitting area:
bluish gray cabinets, light gray counter tops with
primary colored accents and sage green. :-)

The pattern for this daisy square with a fantastic tutorial found here
at the "My Rose Valley" blog; a beautiful blog full of warmth and charm from Switzerland.
Button pattern found here at Mr. Micawber's Recipe For Happiness blog.
A delightful blog full of wisdom and clever ideas.
A general theme of "Spend Less Than You Make"
and you all know how I love that!

Happy Birthday #5, I love you!

  1. That is a great idea for a birthday gift. How creative and thoughtful!

So glad the button pattern worked for you. They match the flower centers perfectly.

  2. How nice! I did see that you had finished your Daisy Square project in my blog roll, but thanks you for letting me know by leaving a comment.

It looks great. I love the gray tones. I am sure *5 is very pleased. Well done!

  3. What nice comments! Thanks y'all. The pillow is on it's way to Louisanna as I write.
Oh and thank you Annette for adding me to your blog list - what an incredible compliment. :-)
