Bobble Zigzags

What does one do when one's small 1400 sq ft home starts getting taken over by the following?:

and this:

and then one stumbles across a pattern in this book called "Bobble Zigzags".
Ooooo, I love the way that sounds:
"Bobble Zigzags", "Bobble Zigzags", "Bobble Zigzags",
I want to keep saying it and saying it!

Well then..one starts this, of course....

No rhyme or reason to the color pattern; as a color pattern could prompt another
"I ran out of this color" yarn run,
and the idea is to use what one has.
The rule - one can only use one's stash unless one runs out of white.
One can never have enough white!

Bobble Zigzags!!!
There, I had to write it one more time to get it out of my system.
I feel much better now. :-)

(Completion of this afghan will be in a forthcoming post.)

Have a good weekend and be sure to check back for week 2 of 5 of the
Crochet-A-Long this Tuesday, March 27th.

  10. "Zigzag Bobbles" is also intoxicatingly addictive to say. I can't decide which is more fun.

What a bright and happy afghan! A good way to tame the erupting yarn volcano. (I have one in my living room too - a yarn volcano I mean.)

  11. I've never done a bobble or a zigzag so I am sure I would never figure the two out at the same time. It looks great! Now I can't get BOBBLE ZIGZAGS out of my head. :) I sat and crocheted using what I have around me -- my same little space on the loveseat is a big mess from all the yarn. I must clean it up today. Have a good one! Tammy

  19. Thank you Little Treasures!

Leah - it was quite simple to make. Just sc ripple rows with a bobble row. Lots of fun and it works up fast in spite of it's density.

  20. Oh, my, Astri, I love your ripple. I have the book and found the stitch and I don't know if I would have chosen it for a ripple if I hadn't seen yours all finished. It is just stunning...I just love your colors. I have to go to Michaels tomorrow and get some new yarn. I've been inspired. Thank you so much! I needed a new project to get me going and ripples are so much fun to do.
