La Vie en Rose - Teaser!

Soooooo....back to crocheting!
Yeah!

But before I tell you more, please play the below and listen while reading about what's next
at Apple Blossom Dreams. It will hopefully get you in the right mood.

I love this song - I could listen to it over and over and over and over....
Oh, Louie, thank you!

Uh-hum...OK back to the subject at hand:
I've been writing and testing a new afghan pattern for over two years now,
it's been sitting for a while.
I am finally getting back into it, it's about 60% done. ;-)

It's called "La Vie en Rose".
I've been learning Microsoft Publisher too,
with the help of Little Bug and my dear friend "K".
I'll use MS Publisher to write this pattern,
which I'm hoping to finish by the end of the summer.
(I generally write everything in tables in Microsoft Word,
so this will be less burdensome for this application.)

In the mean time, I have a free pattern to post and lots of home and garden projects!
I don't even know where to begin.
I am very excited to share, so please stayed tuned and we'll have
some fun showing off time. ;-)
Update:
Pattern is now available by clicking here.
Have a Rosie Day!

  1. Omg Astri I'm sooo excited for your pattern !!! I have been looking for a pattern to make a blanket for my mom... Her nickname - giving to her by my dad who, passed away 4 years ago - is Rose . So everything roses reminds me of her. I have been looking for a blanket with a big rose on it . But I have never found what I had in mind ... A quilt like kind of rose blanket ... N the sneak peak at your blanket just tell me this will be absolutely perfect ... Exactly what I had imagined to make for her ... I can't wait to see the whole thing !!! I know I already love it .

  11. Your afghan is absolutely magnificent - I would LOVE to have one of these. A perfect use for granny squares (or at least they look similar to granny squares!) It kind of looks like Perler beads in the second picture...is that the case? :)

    1. I did not know what perler beads were so I looked them up! They look like fun and yes this looks like it could be a perler beads pattern too!

  14. Your new rose afghan pattern is looking great. It looks like a very big project as the squares are so small, but I bet it will be stunning once finished!

    1. Thank you Sandra. It is a BIG project, but it's better now that I make the first part of the squares while I am out and about leaving enough yarn to finish it and join upon my return home to the afghan. :-)

    1. Haha, Shai! I LOVE silent followers, it's sort of like stalking and I like it - I do it too. ;-) There's just simply not enough time to comment on all the great blogs out there. But I like to believe that the" positive reading without commenting" energy is somehow getting to those bloggers and they feel it in some mystic way!

Your comment made my morning happy.

Did you know that anxiety ridden crocheters favorite word is "hurry"? :-) I will hurry for you and Taci!

Thank you for following and reading!
