I’m so excited to finally share that the Granny Rose Heart Cushion pattern is now officially released! Just in time for the season of love, this romantic floral heart design has been such a joy to create from start to finish.

This pattern has been fully tested by a wonderful team of makers and professionally tech edited, ensuring it is clear, accurate, and enjoyable to follow whether you’re relaxing with your crochet or gifting something handmade and heartfelt.

The cushion features a beautiful Granny Rose heart motif, combining soft texture with a timeless floral style. I truly fell in love with the pink and red colour combination while making this sample — it feels warm, cosy, and full of charm. Love really is in the air with this one πŸ’—

Yarn & Materials

For my cushion, I used Yarnsmiths Merino DK, purchased from Wool Warehouse. This yarn made the finished cushion beautifully soft, wonderfully squishy, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The smooth merino gives lovely stitch definition while keeping the cushion cosy and comfortable — perfect for home dΓ©cor or a thoughtful handmade gift.

Astri has also created a beautiful version using Premier Yarns, which is widely available in the US:

Yarn: Premier Anti-Pilling DK

Depending on your tension, the following yarn amounts can possibly make two cushions:

  • 1 × 100g skein – Cream (starting colour, approx. 12g used)

  • 1 × 100g skein – Clover or Chartreuse (approx. 10g used)

  • 1 × 100g skein – Cherry (approx. 50g used)

  • 1 × 100g skein – Carnation (approx. 50g used)
