A Velvety Soft Baby Blanket | Free Crochet Tutorial on YouTube

๐Ÿ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸงถVelvety Soft Baby Blanket๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ

It's that apple blossom time of year...well maybe not quite yet, but we must prepare!
๐ŸŒธ
Prepare yourselves with this quick and easy to make "Velvety Soft Baby Blanket."
It makes up quickly as the yarn and the crochet hook are both BIG!
๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ
The blanket is made with the luscious "Parfait Chunky Chenille" yarn in
Cotton Candy, Ballet Pink, Bubble Gum, Key Lime, and Cream
 by *Premier Yarns.:
Each solid colored skein
makes four - 5 round granny squares with a "K" 6.5 mm crochet hook
(20 squares total)
The border is crocheted with *"Bloom Chenille" yarn  in "Tulip",
also from *Premier yarns:
You can find this yarn as a 3-pack on Amazon by clicking here. #ad
Here's the finished
"Velvety Soft Baby Blanket"

You can find more details (like the below color chart and lots of video footage)

Please hit the subscribe and notifications buttons on YouTube
and you will be notified when I put out the next video.

Can you imagine what an awesome gift this would be
for a baby born while the trees are in bloom?
Or a soft and cozy throw for a Mother's Day gift...
that's during apple blossom season too, right?
๐ŸŒธ
And how lovely would it all be paired with
the Apple Blossom Dreams Signature Afghan!?

The Apple Blossom Dreams Afghan Crochet Pattern
is available at the following Apple Blossom Dreams shops:

Macaroon Blossom Afghan | Softer Version | Finished

After many hours of fussing with the details,
I present a softer version of the Macaroon Blossom Afghan:

๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ

Springtime fun!

Original Pattern: Macaroon Blossom Afghan
Designer: Astri Elisabeth
Yarn: Scheepjes Stone Washed

Find the original pattern in the original colors by clicking on any of the following
Apple Blossom Dreams shops:

I'm changing the colors up a bit.

Two shades of the same color family for the blossom and the circle e.g., Rose Quartz with Tourmaline.
I'm using New Jade for the leaves and the last row of the border
because it kind of looks like leaves, as well.

New Jade is a softer green than the original pattern.
Pink Quartzite for the stamen and the leaf squares, and much of the border.

Please note that Pink Quartzite and Moonstone are interchangeable, IMHO.

The Kit for the original Blanket is available at Wool Warehouse by clicking here.
They also carry individual skeins so you can create your own color scheme!
and here's to you, my springtime crochet friends!

Warmly,

Astri Elisabeth

Apple Blossom Dreams Afghan Banner | Lazy Sunday Activity

This is the Apple Blossom Dreams "Flagship" Afghan:
On this lazy Sunday afternoon, I've been fiddling around with this afghan
as I figured it should be included in the banner for the
Apple Blossom Dreams Etsy Shop,
being that it's the flagship afghan and all.
๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŒธ

I could not decide which banner to use:
Which one do you like?

And the "flagship" pattern, of course, is available on Etsy

Thank you for joining me and
Warmly,

Astri
