Wool Warehouse | Claudia Afghan | Yarn Packs in Two Colorways

We are head over heels delighted that Wool Warehouse
will be stocking yarn packs for a second
Claudia Afghan Colorway!

This one includes a cream-colored (Moonstone) main color with
 lime green (Periodot) circles:
Oh and BTW and as a side note...the Claudia Afghan
looks fabulous as a window covering:

This colorway is in addition to beige (Axinite) as the main color
with sage green (Canada Jade) circles
as in the below photos:

Both colorways are available now!
We have been purchasing our yarn from Wool Warehouse for many years
and are so impressed with their service and selection.

They stock the yarns that we use for our designs (rarely are any colors back ordered),
orders are processed quickly (2 weeks from the UK to the US is the longest
we've ever had to wait for delivery and we are based in a remote small town in the least populated State in the US), and the BEST prices to boot!
Check out the yarn packs by clicking here

The pattern can also be purchased from Wool Warehouse, as well as
the following Apple Blossom Dreams Shops:

Click on the shop name and it will take you right to the pattern.
A great BIG bundle of gratitude from all of us at Apple Blossom Dreams to
Wool Warehouse for this opportunity!!!

Thank you all for following along and for your support!
All of us here at Apple Blossom Dreams wish you lots of

Gratefully,

Astri Elisabeth

Summer Blossom Crochet Pattern | Bright Colorful Flowers

During my recent travels to renowned fashionable areas of the world 😉,
I observed that bright colors are seemingly in fashion at this time,
specifically, the colors in this photo:
So how about crocheting up some happy-colored blossoms to celebrate the season?
You could crochet this colorful Summer Blossom Square Blanket or Bed Runner using three skeins of 100 gm (295 m) DK weight yarn in white and less than one skein of up to 24 additional colors (the additional colors are great for busting a yarn stash).

It's pictured here as a bed runner; however,
the pattern also guides you on how to make it into a
*square blanket instead:

The Summer Blossom Bed Runner/Blanket pattern can be found at the
Apple Blossom Dreams Etsy, Ravelry, and Lovecraft shops.

Click on these links to take you to the pattern:
EtsyRavelry, and, Lovecrafts

This instantly downloadable pattern will teach you step-by-step how to complete the blossom granny squares, two-color standard granny squares, half granny squares, and the border. The 23-page pattern includes over 100 step-by-step photos and charts, as well as, several links to exclusive videos for extra added assistance. Additionally, a three-page abbreviated version of the pattern is included. Many crocheters like to utilize this three-page version for printing.
The finished bed runner measures 20” x 72” (51 cm x 183 cm)
This size fits at the foot of a queen-sized bed and hangs over the sides.
Reduce rows for a smaller bed or increase rows for a larger bed.
*There are also instructions to rearrange the motifs for a square blanket
that measures 38" x 38" (97 cm x 97 cm)

The pattern is written and verbalized in US crochet terms
and is suitable for an intermediate or advanced beginner.

Apple Blossom Dreams Trip | London

A piece of my heart is in London! ❤️

Last week, during the preparation for "The Coronation," the Little Bug and I
were fortunate enough to visit London - the first time for both of us.

This trip had been long in the works and we had no idea when we booked it
that the coronation would be happening the following week. So lucky!

This was to be a business trip for Apple Blossom Dreams, so many yarny things were to happen;
however, I caught a cold upon arrival
(this seems to happen a lot when I travel - any suggestions/recommendations out there?)
and it changed the trip a bit.
After a few days of rest, we were still able to experience magnificent London and Kingston.
A little slower and a little less than planned, but fun nonetheless.

Here are a few photos from those glorious days:

1) Check out this stunning blossom storefront - this was common and so beautiful!
2) It wasn't London without seeing Buckingham Palace.
3) My heart skipped a beat when we ran across this Swedish Bakery.
We had the best coconut macaroon of our lives!

4) Henry the 8th's Palace. Incredible!

5) An early Mother's Day gift - High Tea.

6) The only yarny thing that ended up happening. Macculloch & Wallis
@maccullochw
A delightful shop with a delightful staff.
7) Painted stairs that beckoned a photo opportunity.

8) Little Bug with a cappuccino - and that's the Thames River (not pronounced the way it looks.)
9) Mother and daughter moments before seeing "Hamilton."
10) One of my favorite paintings at the National Gallery @nationalgallery
Again, blossoms.
Gustaf Klimt - Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II 1912

Have you been to London? Do you live nearby? What is your favorite part?

Have a happy coronation day, thank you for following along, and

Warmly,

Astri

Crochet | Claudia Window Covering | Os Rosemaling

So I've been thinking a lot lately about the Claudia Afghan and how Claudia
herself @crochetaladia turned it into a window covering
...hmmmm...an idea was born!

With this inspiration from Claudia I came to the conclusion that it might be fun
to try my hand at making a curtain for our kitchen to coordinate with
these Norwegian Os Rosemaled plates,
using this beautiful Scheepjes Catona cotton yarn.
(That was a run-on sentence but I guess that's what I do. 😉)

🌹I matched up the 10 gm cuties from the colour pack with the colors on the plates
and ordered 25 g skeins of each of those colors.
I think I'll use Bridal White for the main color. I usually use Snow White
but I'm going to go a little bit creamier this time which is unusual for me,
but I was drawn that way. (Not unlike Jessica Rabbit)😉

🌹 I'm not sure exactly when this project will start,
I guess sometime after the yarn arrives,
but please stay tuned as I think this will be very exciting and enticing!

but in the meantime...
you can order a box of these little cuties (109) and use them for color reference,
for any project, or just for fun on *Amazon by clicking here.
If you are in the US, you will be receive your yarn quickly.

*Apple Blossom Dreams may receive a small commission
on purchases made via this Amazon affiliate link,
however, it is at no additional cost to you.

You can find the pattern for the Claudia Afghan that I will be utilizing
to make a curtain by clicking on the below shops:

Have a happy day, thank you for following along, and
