La Vie en Rose Afghan | Knit Version

Here is the wildly anticipated knit version of the
La Vie en Rose Afghan Crochet Pattern,

made by my mother in Norway who is in her 80's!

She knit 1,063 of these tiny squares...
and then sewed them together.

With a little crochet help a border was added in blue:

Here is the knit version and the crocheted version of the afghan.
Since the knit squares are slightly larger than the crocheted squares
the blanket hangs over the sides of a queen-sized bed
more so than the crocheted banket.
Knit size......................              ..........Crocheted size

Both versions were made with Stylecraft Special DK and Scheepjes Colour Crafter
as indicated in the pattern.

You can find the pattern for the afghan by clicking on the following links:

and as always, wishing you lots of
and knitting!!!

La Vie en Rose Afghan | Crochet Pattern | Test of Revisions

The La vie en Rose Afghan and Border Crochet Pattern tests are in from my testers and what delightful testers they are!
I'm very fortunate to have these people in my life. 🥰
This is the test of my tester's edits. I'm not really sure what it is...
a large pincushion?
Maybe a stuffed animal or doll pillow?
Maybe just a little decoration?
🌸
I've added at a little apple blossom from the Apple Blossom Branch pattern found by clicking here.

UPDATE:

Vintage Rainbow Afghan | Upcycle for Grandaughter

Many, many moons ago
(that reminds me, did any of you see the "Flower Moon" last night? Incredible!)

I made this little baby afghan for one of our granddaughters.

Her eighth birthday is this month and she asked if the blanket could be
enlarged beyond the baby blanket size.
Talk about warming my heart!
Her mom thoughtfully mailed the blanket to me for adjustments.

This is the original:
It's the Vintage Crocheted Blanket Pattern
purchased from

Since I've been crocheting with the same yarn for the past ten years,
I had nearly every color of either Scheepjes Colour Crafter or Stylecraft Special DK
 needed in my stash.
(You can only imagine my delight!)

A variety of stitches were used to extend the length and width,

like this:
Sometimes when one free-forms it some strange things can happen...
The first six rows were double v-stitches from the pattern then all of a sudden
the rows turned into shells (5 dc)....hmmmmm.....

Here's the beginning of the first shell (double v-stitch) row after each end was extended.

The finished "Upcycle":
I'm so excited to send this off in time for the big day!

This has definitely been a
project!

and I hope you are enjoying one too!

Apple Blossom Dreams Afghan Banner | Lazy Sunday Activity

This is the Apple Blossom Dreams "Flagship" Afghan:
On this lazy Sunday afternoon, I've been fiddling around with this afghan
as I figured it should be included in the banner for the
Apple Blossom Dreams Etsy Shop,
being that it's the flagship afghan and all.
🌸😉🌸

I could not decide which banner to use:
Which one do you like?

And the "flagship" pattern, of course, is available on Etsy

Thank you for joining me and

Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows | Crochet Pattern | Listed

Yay!
Finally, after nearly three months of working on the
Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows
Crochet Pattern
it has been listed,

and the pattern can be found by clicking on the following
Apple Blossom Dreams Shops

The pattern includes information to make two different pom-pom borders...

and two different color schemes are outlined:

The backs are a large granny square:

This has been an awesome opportunity to use up some of that Stylecraft Special DK and
Scheepjes Colour Crafter yarn I resolved to reduce as a part of a 2020 New Year resolution:
This super-duper yarn,
can be found at Wool Warehouse by clicking here.

This pattern definitely fell in the category of
and I hope it will for you as well!
