Bobble Zigzag Afghan Ta Da!

Spring Project is DONE!!!
Photographed here with our baby plum tree -  in full bloom!
Edged on each of the long sides with a double V stitch (DC, ch, DC, 2 ch, DC, ch, DC)
and then a single crochet.

It can be taken outside, onto the front porch, for those breezy Spring days:

It can also sit on the Little Bugs' (#6s') bed:
Coordinates with the quilt nicely, eh?
See this post referencing the book where the pattern can be found. :-)

Have A Weekend Full of Spring Joy!

Oh and BTW...I am crocheting along with the Crochet-a-Long...
A variation I am excited to share in a future post.
Thanks to all of you that are participating!!!

Bobble Zigzags

What does one do when one's small 1400 sq ft home starts getting taken over by the following?:

and this:

and then one stumbles across a pattern in this book called "Bobble Zigzags".
Ooooo, I love the way that sounds:
"Bobble Zigzags", "Bobble Zigzags", "Bobble Zigzags",
I want to keep saying it and saying it!

Well then..one starts this, of course....

No rhyme or reason to the color pattern; as a color pattern could prompt another
"I ran out of this color" yarn run,
and the idea is to use what one has.
The rule - one can only use one's stash unless one runs out of white.
One can never have enough white!

Bobble Zigzags!!!
There, I had to write it one more time to get it out of my system.
I feel much better now. :-)

(Completion of this afghan will be in a forthcoming post.)

Have a good weekend and be sure to check back for week 2 of 5 of the
Crochet-A-Long this Tuesday, March 27th.

Moonflowers

Sometimes lots of blossoms:

Sometimes not so many:
But no matter how much she blossoms or doesn't blossom, she still cares. :-)
(Thank you, "K".)

With Spring just around the corner, the porch pillows were in need of a little flower power.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
"An explosion of flowers" as the NVO calls it.

Lonely red roses:
 Meet your new friends:
Flowers from Lesley Stanfield's book:
"100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet"
#50 Meconopsis
and
#49 Forget-me-not
and
#44 Daisy
Joined permanently together via fabric glue, with the single red roses. :-)

This Moonflower will be blossoming a little less in the Blogging Garden, so please don't take my reduced posts and comments in your blogs as an indication of disinterest...
just going to focus a little more on my health, my family and my job.

The C-A-L is still in the works and scheduled for the first day of spring.
The rose in the middle of this pillow is the same rose that will used for the C-A-L,
but the colors will be so very different.
I can't wait. I'm so excited!

Be back soon!
