"What is it that you would like then, Little Bug?"

A Flower Scarf For The Youngest One as Per Her Request

Whenever I think I have found the perfect project to make for one of the children and I think they are going to love it, it doesn't ever really end up being the case. (I may recall something similar from my childhood. Awwwwww...thanks for the effort Mom, that neon pink jacket was truly beautiful, I just didn't think so at the time. ;-) )

One evening last Winter I asked #6 to search the Internet for something she would like me to make for her; something she would actually like and wear and this is the result of what she found:

She searched "crocheted flower scarf" in Google images which led to this pattern from a post in 2005 on the Needlebook Blogspot. The colors and the length were her choice, as well.
I got to choose the yarn: Encore Worsted 75% Acrylic 25% Wool.

This scarf was started last Winter and now it's mid-Spring (not exactly scarf season) and it's finally finished; however, I get WAY too excited about these things. It would be torture for me to hold the gift until the Autumn so a mid-Spring gift it will be...thank goodness it's raining today. ;-)

(Hmmmmm...the geranium pot is the scarf's model??? Odd.)

Thank you Claire at Needlebook Blogspot!

And thank you Little Bug for being so grateful.
You can always be counted on to remember the following:

"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others."
-Cicero, Ancient Roman Statesman and Philosopher
