"Go, Go, Go"

Based on popular opinion and an idea from my dear blogging friend,
Mrs. M, the roses on the vintage afghan will
 "Go, Go, Go".
The roses to adorn a table runner
was her suggestion from my previous post
How sweet of her to give me an alternative instead of saying
"The roses need to go, Astri". :-)
Now I've got to pull out the sewing machine and iron. Ugh!
I'll post about it when it's all done and the table is set.
(In spite of having to iron and sew, I am excited about this project, though,
especially since I do not need to purchase anything for it.)
I suppose pulling out the sewing machine is not so bad as it
will stop the procrastination of the plan to sew a pillow out of
this lovely "bread warming cloth", as well.
It was a gift from my mother's friend, Liv, from Norway,
who gave it me as none of her grandchildren wanted it.
Go figure?

What a difference ironing will make.
I love pressed results!

  1. Do you ever stop? You just go, go, go yourself. I can't believe all the projects you are involved in and COMPLETE! I loved the post on the new dishes and the Mad Money. I once heard a lecture on budgeting and the teacher said in their home there was her checking account, her husbands checking account and the Mad Money account. What a great idea, I thought until she clarified that when she used it...her husband got Mad! Glad you get to spend your Mad Money as you please.

  2. Sehr hübsche Blümchen...^^
Liebe Grüße & eine schöne Woche,*Manja*

  3. I see you've passed 100 followers - congratulations! You need to have a giveaway. Something like ... watermelon boots, or a big batch of berlinerkranser. :)

The roses are perfect on the gingham. Can't wait to see what you do with the bread cloth. (It's beautiful. Why would anyone not want it?)

  4. The fabrics I spot behind the breadcloth looks interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the result. :-)

  5. Good idea, a giveaway is in the works. I used to feel guilty about the mad money but I am learning to embrace it. ;-) Too funny about the husband getting mad over his wife spending the mad money.
